Position Description
Under the direction and supervision of the Clinic RN Manager/designee, responsible for performing a variety of clinical functions including but not limited to specimen collection, venipuncture, preparation for exams, patient history collection, performing screening procedures per provider guidelines, obtaining vital signs, relaying instructions to participants, and assisting with specific practice procedures. Will also participate in clinic meetings and overall planning related to clinic business and operation.
As a multisite provider of PACE community-based services for seniors in Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties, an Inspira LIFE employee may work at either or both the Vineland or Williamstown LIFE Program as census changes or operational needs occur to meet the needs of our participants.
Position Responsibilities
- Performs any necessary documentation in medical records, and performs computer entries to update participant information.
- Performs any necessary filing or clerical duties necessary to complete charting requirements.
- Effectively communicates in clinic meetings.
- Obtains vital signs of participants, escorts participants to exam rooms, and prepares participants to be seen in the clinic.
- Reports participant's findings and changes to the Clinic Coordinator or designee.
- Assists participants in disrobing, positions participant in bed, chair or exam table and ensures they are ready to see nurses and physicians as appropriate.
- Performs collection of specimens within scope of practice, as requested by medical staff, including blood draws via venipuncture, for lab analysis.
- Assists PCP and nurses with minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. Assists in any medical procedures as requested by staff (within training and scope of practice).
- Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness and that exam rooms are properly stocked. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing of participants.
- Responsible for ensuring all lab specimens are labeled and ready for courier to pick up in a timely manner.
- Maintains inventory of clinic supplies and puts needed supplies on re-order list. Ensures that necessary supplies are always available.
- Acts only within the scope of his or her authority to practice.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results and information about participants, clients or families.
