What are the responsibilities and job description for the Programmer II- Advanced Analytics, Full-Time, Remote position at Inspira Health Network?
MAJOR FUNCTION:
General programming and technical skills. Use complex computer programs to mine data sources. Ability to analyze data. Work on large projects and many data streams with many deadlines. Manage programming projects using IS project methodology. This position is responsible for participating in the planning, development and troubleshooting of key Inspira databases & datasets. Write and test code for database design, data modeling, report building/optimization, dashboards, and user interfaces. Ensure creation of high quality and on-time deliverables. Partner with clinical and business stakeholders to define requirements for report development. Work with internal and external IT partners to design data-dependent algorithms and workflows. Supports testing (unit, integration, regression, and support user testing) for software upgrades and business intelligence tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in field of computers science or software engineering, or 2-5 years’ work experience in related field.
- A minimum of 2 years' work experience preferred.
- Database and operating systems experience (i.e., Access, SQL).
- Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
Certification/Licensure:
- Microsoft Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- In-depth understanding of database design and data structures
- Database programming languages: Required: MS SQL, SSRS, SSIS. Preferred: C , Cerner Command Language (CCL).
- Thorough knowledge of data management; permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of data visualization software (Power BI and Tableau) and techniques.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working technical knowledge of object-oriented programming language.
