What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor- Patient Registration, Full-Time, Mullica Hill/Woodbury position at Inspira Health Network?
MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Patient Access Supervisor contributes to Inspira Health ‘s operations by planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining programs, policies, and management systems in all facets of registration. Provides front line supervision and performance management to Patient Access registrars and monitors daily departmental operations. Assists the Patient Accounting department in maintaining an effective billing and collections system by ensuring accurate and timely input of patient demographic and insurance information. Serves as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes a positive patient experience consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Inspira Health.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- Associate degree preferred.
- One to three years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Hospital customer service experience and strong communication skills required.
- Experience with scheduling 24 hours operational staff a plus.
- Knowledge of insurances and patient intake/registration experience required.
Certification/Licensure:
- N/A
Knowledge & Skills:
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast- paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and PC software required.
- Must be able to travel to multiple sites.
