What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Voluntary Adult MHU - Bridgeton position at Inspira Health Network?
MAJOR FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for directing and providing supervision for the clinical team in the inpatient behavioral health units in accordance with professional standards and requirements of licensing and accrediting bodies. Also responsible for developing & implementing psychosocial activities; managing schedules/vacations of social services team in department; and assisting in the evaluation and oversight of clinical staff in department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in social work required.
- A minimum of 3 years in social work or related field required.
Certification/Licensure:
- Current New Jersey LCSW required
- Eligible for NJ social work supervisor certification within 6 months of hire
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of behavioral health system of care required.
- Thorough knowledge of the causation, symptoms and effects of mental illnesses
- Demonstrates working knowledge of DSM V manual, community resources, discharge planning activities, basic leadership skills, and decision-making ability.
