You will have unfettered access to Josh and all the information he receives in order to act as a trusted, high-performance member of the Company’s Executive Team. Over time you will own certain company planning and coordination processes and be able to effectively act as Josh’s proxy in both internal and external meetings. With you coordinating and overseeing many of the company’s most critical internal processes, earning the respect of your teammates and partners, Josh will be able to focus his efforts on the most critical, value-enhancing strategic activities for the company.The Legacy You’ll Leave : Success in this role will mean that Josh and the team have confidence that you can make decisions and execute on initiatives in Josh’s place with minimal assistance. As our inaugural Chief of Staff, you will have stepped in and helped Josh lead the team and organization, and will have become a trusted sounding board to him and the entire Executive Team on strategic and operational issues. You will connect dots across the organization, manage and drive our high-performance culture, and lead CEO-sponsored “special projects” that cut across teams / functional areas and have an ability to transform the business.You will have been a key player in scaling a business entering hyper-growth stage, accelerating our ability to disrupt several industries while achieving meaningful and measurable climate impact. After 2-3 years in this role, you will have gained the skills, judgment and exposure necessary to step directly into another executive leadership role at Inspiration or another entrepreneurial endeavor.What You’re Responsible For : This is a highly dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging role that will require long hours, excellent communication and organization, a high EQ, trust and transparency, and a sense of humor. Though your priorities will change from time-to-time depending on the needs of the business, the intent is that you are primarily focused inwardly, playing a role akin to a COO, allowing Josh to primarily focus externally. Your core responsibilities will include, but not be limited to : Developing trusting and meaningful relationships with Josh, our Executive and Leadership teams, and those across our organization. With time, you’ll do the same with our key partners, customers, and Board members.Learning every aspect of the current business, roadmap, and strategic vision to serve as an integrator and dot-connector across our growing platform and business lines.Participating in internal and external meetings with Josh, managing meeting preparation and follow-up to ensure high levels of accountability and efficient execution.Playing a leadership role in strategic planning, goal setting, and performance management for the organization.Managing, and in some cases leading, high-priority initiatives, including special projects, drafting and / or reviewing presentations for meetings with Board members, partners, key customers and clients, and other constituencies.Serving as a trusted thought partner and advisor across the company, representing Josh’s perspective in meetings and interactions he is unable to attend, monitoring the health of our organization and making specific recommendations to Josh on what’s working well and what should change.Who You Are : You have more than fifteen years of professional work experience, with a demonstrable track record of success and increasing responsibilities.You have an MBA from a top program and spent at least 3 years working in a top-tier strategy consulting firm such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, etc.You have domain expertise in at least one area of direct relevance to Inspiration’s business (corporate finance, equity investing and / or lending, equipment finance, fleet management, clean energy, sustainability, energy transition) OR have held senior operating roles in fast-growing organizations.You are a strategic thinker, a trusted thought-partner to other senior leaders and operate with the utmost integrity and discretion.You are a thoughtful, clear, and persuasive communicator, both in the moment and in prepared messaging – in writing, in visual presentation materials, and in person – regardless of the size, expertise or experience level of your audience.You are highly organized, excellent at managing time, have strong project management skills, keen attention to detail, and a demonstrated track record of rolling up your sleeves and pitching in, no matter how large or small the task.You build authentic, trusting relationships, from which you’re able to connect the dots across people and functions both internally and externally, and break down silos to help us better operate efficiently.
