What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager - Commercial Group Finance position at Inspire Brands?
The Manager- Commercial Group Finance will provide financial and analytical decision-support for the Commercial Group through the execution and delivery of key financial planning activities including month-end reporting, annual business plans, and quarterly forecasts to meet Inspire Brands objectives. The Commercial Group is a dynamic organization at Inspire, responsible for Demand Generation, Digital & Loyalty, and Data & Analytics and requires an experienced finance business partner to support delivery of key results. This position will manage one Senior Financial Analyst with the potential for the addition of another Financial Analyst as the team’s scope evolves.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Commercial Group G&A and Fund Direct expenses as part of annual planning, quarterly forecasting, monthly reporting and ad-hoc analyses, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of team deliverables as well as implementing opportunities to enhance processes and tools.
- Specific areas of G&A and Fund Direct analysis include salary and headcount analysis, professional services and software analysis, allocations review and support and various ad-hoc analysis;
- Leverage EPBCS for all substantial budgeting and forecasting needs; and
- Make timely recommendations to Commercial Group leaderships and associated brand leadership, regarding proposed initiatives and potential opportunities.
- Support and help drive a culture of continuous improvement and spend effectiveness and efficiency through:
- Identifying and quantifying savings opportunities and other Commercial synergies; and
- Improving upon existing Chart of Accounts-related changes to Advertising and Tech Funds and partner with the Commercial Group and brand stakeholders to build a “OneInspire” approach to reporting on marketing and other related spend.
- Support organizational changes as the Commercial Group evolves by partnering closely with the People business partner to accurately cost the new organization and educate organizational leaders on their budgets, both G&A and Fund Direct.
- Manage the activities, output, and career development of one or more Financial Analysts. Responsibilities include employee development, communication, formal performance appraisals, and project management.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum : 4 yr degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting and / or CPA.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Minimum: 7 years of experience in Planning and Analysis or similar supervisory experience in Finance.
Preferred: 2 years of experience as a finance business partner in a global matrixed organization.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
Strong track record as a proven team player.
Strong executive presence with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Strong finance, project / capital assessment, technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage self and others with competing priorities, often with considerable time constraints.
Strongly preferred: Experience with Oracle Enterprise Planning and Reporting software, including Hyperion Planning/EPBCS/SmartView, or similar.
- Strongly preferred: Experience with Business Intelligence analysis and presentation tools, including Power BI and SharePoint.
