We are seeking energetic, caring and dependable individuals that will build relationships with the individuals we serve, both adults and children with developmental disabilities, to encourage independence and productivity, and a sense of community.
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will be responsible for forming a strong, positive, and supportive relationship with the person participating in services and their support team. Services are delivered as determined by the individual’s Individualized Service Plan. DSP’s will be responsible for required documentation and depending on the service, may be working in the person’s home, in the community, and/or may be working with other DSPs providing community-based recreational activities.
Experience with direct care and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
A valid New York state driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
The salary for this position is $16.27/hr for Community Habilitation.
