Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Room (ER) Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. As an ER PA, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with our physicians and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the supervision of physicians, including assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and ordering tests and medications.
- Collaborate with emergency department staff to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Perform procedures, such as suturing, casting, and splinting, as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to deliver evidence-based care.
- Document all patient interactions, findings, and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly.
Requirements
- Current certification in ACLS/ATLS/PALS/CPR is required.
- Prior ER experience is mandatory.
- The ideal candidate will possess a 1099 status with covered malpractice and tail insurance.
- A minimum hourly rate of $85 is expected.
- The ER sees approximately 16,000 patients per year, providing a dynamic and challenging work environment.
- Shift times for APPs include 11am-8pm, ensuring a balanced schedule with opportunities for work-life harmony.
- The EMR system used is EPowerDoc, facilitating seamless documentation and data sharing.
- We are seeking full-time (12 shifts/month, including 2 weekends) or part-time (6 shifts/month, including 1 weekend) candidates; less than that cannot be considered.
