Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Job Description:

• The OB/GYN Physician is responsible for providing clinical services, including direct patient care.
• They must adhere to federal and state statutes, medical staff bylaws, hospital policies, and procedures.
• Reporting requirements include Medical Staff Committee(s) and MEC for clinical matters, as well as the Vice President-Finance for administrative responsibilities.

Facility Overview:

• The hospital is a 25-bed medical facility with 15 active-staff board-certified physicians.
• It has Critical Access Hospital status granted in 2004.
• The organization is the fourth largest employer in Beadle County, with over 300 full-and part-time employees.
• Servicing a population of more than 37,000 across seven counties in eastern-central South Dakota.

Qualifications:

• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN).
• Active medical license in South Dakota and federal narcotics licensure.

Benefits:

• Base salary at 50% of the MGMA standard for the Midwest region.
• $75,000 sign-on bonus.
• $50,000 towards purchasing a home in the service area.
• $60,000 annually for student loan repayment throughout a 5-year contract.
• $2,500 monthly stipend for resident physicians.
