Our approach brings together experts in Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Feeding Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to create a collaborative environment where our clients and their families can thrive.
Position Overview:
The Behavior Technician (BT) Trainer plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality service delivery by providing comprehensive training, support, and mentorship to new and existing Behavior Technicians. This position is responsible for onboarding staff, conducting initial and ongoing skills assessments, and ensuring treatment integrity through hands-on modeling, feedback, and performance coaching. Working closely with BCBAs and leadership, the BT Trainer helps maintain clinical excellence, supports professional development, and contributes to a positive and collaborative team culture.
Work Schedule:
Clinic ABA hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 6pm
No weekends
All clinic-based care
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on training and onboarding for new Behavior Technicians, including RBT competency assessments
Model ABA techniques and best practices during live sessions and role play scenarios
Support new BTs in implementing behavior intervention plans with fidelity under BCBA guidance
Conduct periodic check-ins and performance evaluations to ensure treatment integrity
Collaborate with BCBAs and leadership to identify training needs and develop materials accordingly
Assist in developing and maintaining training curriculum and resources
Provide constructive feedback and ongoing support to BTs to promote clinical excellence
Maintain accurate documentation of training activities and staff progress
- Work direct with clients when not in a training status
Qualifications:
Active RBT certification with ABA experience.
Strong knowledge of ABA principles and intervention strategies.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Empathy and compassion for children, particularly those with developmental delays.
High energy level and physical ability to engage in activities such as running, sitting, standing, twirling, dancing, and lifting up to 50 pounds for over 50% of the workday.
