Job duties and description:
- Use a variety of different educational techniques (for example storytelling, playing games, media presentations etc.) to teach children
- Look after each child and help them build social competencies and self-esteem
- Inspire children to communicate with each other in a friendly manner
- Provide example in peaceful resolving of arguments
- Organize and conduct nap and snack breaks
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
- Evaluates students' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports
- Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing
- Oversee children in order to make sure they are safe
- Cooperate with other teachers and administration staff
- Adhere with all relevant health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a daycare setting for at least a year or childcare experience including nannying, babysitting, and parenting
- Required high school diploma or GED
- Are at least 18 years of age
- **Highschool students 16 welcomed with appropriate training/supervision
- Full Time/Part Time availability and flexibility between the hours of 7am and 6pm. **WEEKENDS OFF
- We prefer a cultural fit as to simply years of experience. If you have experience great! If you don’t, no worries, we will get you there.
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $14.20 - $15.00 per hour
