Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Keen attention to detail and willingness to follow all policies and procedures inherent to working in an admin position in a mental health care setting.
Professional and personal characteristics of courtesy necessary for working effectively with staff and clients of all ages.
Experience working directly with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Proficiency in 'business English:' spelling, grammar, and spoken language
Ability to maintain confidentiality of verbal and written communication – both in the office and outside of the office.
Emotionally mature, objective, and sensitive to people and their concerns. Within this, ability to maintain composure and patience under pressure.
Visual acuity is also required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; and subject to inside and outside environmental conditions
Must have 1-2 years experience working in health care/and or with HIPAA information.
Responsibilities:
Built rapport and satisfaction wherever possible within the relationship with clients who contact us.
Perform clerical duties relative to the counseling practice and assist clients and therapists as necessary.
Answer phone calls and emails with sensitive to time, and using appropriate tone and maturity.
Use online interface system to schedule, cancel, and update information for client appointments.
Prepare materials for client intake and therapy scheduling.
Coordinate and convey referrals and process necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
Communicate rules and policies related to HIPAA and client's rights pertaining to confidentiality.
*In addition to the in-office role described above, this position also offers role as an "on call liaison" WFH- where for 1-2 days you can be remote/at home but just available to answer calls should they come in.
