Luxury drug and alcohol treatment facility is looking for a Recovery Assistant / Mental Health Technician to join our team!
Evening shifts with weekend availability is mandatory. Must have good communication skills and strong professional boundaries.
Summary
As a Recovery Assistant on the evening shift, you will be a vital member of our team, providing compassionate care and support to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs. Utilizing core skills in applied behavior analysis, patient care, and medical documentation, you will assist with patient intake, medical records, and behavioral health interventions. Your premium skills in crisis intervention will be essential in addressing complex needs for individuals with substance use disorders. Qualifications
- Patient care experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with medical documentation and terminology
- Ability to handle medical records and intake processes
- Understanding of addiction treatment and field with mental health knowledge
- Experience in data collection
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Current Tuberculosis test and physical examination
- Strong communication skills
- Strong professional boundaries
Responsibilities
- Monitor clients during detox and residential treatment
- Maintain and implement all health and safety standards.
- Support Line of Authority and maintain positive attitude in work environment.
- Maintain professionalism and exercise maturity of judgment.
- Audit client charts, medical documentation and organization.
- Support clients' treatment goals as identified by the treatment team.
- Check Blood Pressure, BAC and supervise UAs.
- Supervise administration of medications and detox protocols.
- Communicate with the team to ensure quality patient care.
- Other office duties (phone, filing etc.) as needed.
