ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Inspire Medical Systems is seeking a Grants & Scientific Communications Manager to join our Research/Scientific Communications team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) Program. This program involves receiving and organizing proposals from external investigators who seek support for their scientific research projects. This role will interface with these investigators, assist with contracting and milestone monitoring, and manage internal resources to support the research. In this role you will maintain close relationships with physicians meeting monthly to track progress on funded projects.

The salary for this position is expected to be between ( $136,600 - $205,000 ) and will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE
- Maintain relationships with external investigators submitting grant proposals
- Receive and log all ISR submissions.
- Prepare documents and meeting details for quarterly ISR reviews
- Manage NDAs and contracts for funded investigators, including study milestones for payment.
- Organize monthly meetings with external investigators to review the track progress toward study milestones.
- Maintain financial records for all funded proposals with proper forecasting.
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and support scientific writing for internal and external scientific communications.
- Document product and therapy related field reports within the prescribed timelines and provide any necessary documents required to complete the investigation. Provide follow-up reporting as needed.
- Complete training requirements and competency confirmations as required for this position within the required timeline.
- Comply with applicable quality system procedures/policies and make suggestions for continuous process improvement.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or higher in a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in grants management and/or scientific research and writing
- Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to maintain close relationships with physicians and external investigators.
- Expertise with Excel and Word, familiarity with other software to track study progress preferred
- Master’s degree is preferred.
