ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
We are recruiting for a Principal DevOps Security Engineer to join our team. In this newly created position, you will focus on DevSecOps and will be responsible for integrating security practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring that our medical devices and supporting systems are secure, compliant, and reliable. This will require you to have a deep understanding of security principles, DevOps practices, and regulatory requirements for the medical device industry.

The salary for this position is expected to be between $164,000 - $246,000 and will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.

We are recruiting for a Principal DevOps Security Engineer to join our team. In this newly created position, you will focus on DevSecOps and will be responsible for integrating security practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring that our medical devices and supporting systems are secure, compliant, and reliable. This will require you to have a deep understanding of security principles, DevOps practices, and regulatory requirements for the medical device industry.
OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE
- Implement security best practices and tools throughout the DevOps pipeline to ensure secure development, testing, and deployment of medical devices and supporting software/systems.
- Develop and maintain automated security testing and monitoring solutions to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities early in the development process.
- Ensure that all development and deployment processes comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines, including FDA, ISO, and other applicable regulations.
- Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure a seamless and secure workflow.
- Refine and maintain incident response plans and procedures. Participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
- Implement and manage security monitoring tools to continuously assess the security posture of our systems. Provide regular reports on security metrics and compliance status.
- Continuously improve security practices and tools to enhance the overall security posture.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Software, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent experience
- 10 years of similar experience, including experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Demonstrated understanding of security principles, practices, and tools
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., Azure).
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., FDA, HIPAA).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Advanced level degree in Engineering, Software, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Medical device experience
- Cloud platform (AWS, Google, Microsoft) experience
- C# development experience for desktop and Azure platforms
- iOS and Android development experience
- Azure PaaS deployment experience
