ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
We’re seeking a highly analytical and strategic thinker with expertise in sales incentive design and financial forecasting. This role will be critical in helping shape our sales compensation strategy, ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting of commission costs, and drive ongoing analysis of program effectiveness. This individual will work closely with cross-functional partners in Finance, Sales Operations, and HR. Experience in the medical device industry is a strong plus.

The salary for this position is expected to be between ( $90,000 - $133,400 ) and will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models to project commission payouts and manage sales incentive budgets.
- Develop quarterly and annual sales incentive budget forecasts based on pipeline, historical performance, and business changes.
- Perform scenario modeling (best/mid/worst-case) to guide executive decision-making and manage financial risk.
- Provide regular updates and variance analysis to Finance on actuals vs. forecasted incentive spend.
- Design, evaluate, and optimize sales compensation plans including thresholds, accelerators, and SPIFFs.
- Analyze the effectiveness of incentive structures in driving desired sales behaviors and ROI.
- Analyze incentive program performance to identify trends, assess effectiveness, and provide actionable insights that drive improvements in compensation strategy.
- Partner with leadership to present recommendations and influence compensation strategies.
- Work closely with Sales Ops, Finance, and HR to ensure alignment on budgeting assumptions, performance metrics, and payout calculations.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 or more years’ experience in sales operations, incentive compensation design, incentive compensation administration, or financial analysis
- Demonstrated skills in project management, problem solving, strategic thinking, and stakeholder collaboration
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and forecasting
- Experience designing and managing sales compensation plans
- Ability to clearly present data insights to senior leaders and influence strategic decisions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with changing priorities
- Masters degree in a related field such as Business Administration
- Experience with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Background in the medical device industry
- Familiarity with SQL, MS Access, or other tools for data analysis
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in statistical or financial modeling
- Proficiency with modeling languages such as R or Python
