What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Cook position at Inspire Rehabilitation and Health Center?
Inspire Rehab & Health Center, managed by Health Consulting Services, seeks On-Call Cook for its 180-bed skilled nursing facility in NW, Washington, DC.
The Cook is responsible for preparing delicious and appealing daily meals, to make sure that week- timed meals are produced in an efficient manner and a high level of sanitation is maintained. The Cook also supervises and trains all dietary aides.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate well with staff, residents and visitors.
- Responsible for checking menus.
- Familiar with the use, operation, and proper maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
- Prepare requisitions and equipment repair request forms.
- Keep stock of all foods and equipment in the kitchen.
- Management activities of all areas, including the cafeteria and the dining room.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Ability to successfully pass background screenings and drug test.
