Job Description
Inspired Flight is seeking a talented and experienced Production Technician II to join our manufacturing team. A Production Technician II is a specialized role responsible for complex mechanical and electrical manufacturing of medium and heavy lift small uncrewed aircraft systems (sUAS or drones).
This position is at the core of the manufacturing team at Inspired Flight and will be part of a rapidly growing company in the growing UAV industry. Lots of upward mobility available for this role!
Typical responsibilities:
- Soldering PCBs to IPC standards and Inspired Flight quality standards
- Testing of electrical equipment
- Mechanical assembly of aircraft components
- Payload assembly and testing
- Wire harness assembly
- Assist in developmental assembly and prototyping of production parts
- Assist Engineering in setting up and running tests
You’ll excel in this role if you have:
- Work well in a collaborative environment
- Aren’t shy about proposing creative ideas on how to improve product
- Are a self-starter and enjoy taking on new challenges requiring creative solutions
Technician I
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, or relevant professional experience
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, such as screwdrivers and wire cutters
- Experience with mechanical assembly of parts, at home or work
Technician II
- 2-5 years of manufacturing experience, or relevant professional experience
- Well versed with hand tools and powered tools, such as wire crimpers, soldering irons, electric torque drivers
- Experience in specialty mechanical and/or electrical assembly, including wire harnesses and electronic assembly
Technician III
- 5 years of manufacturing experience, or relevant professional experience
- Advanced skills with tools and processes, such as PCB-level soldering, QC inspection, sensors and calibration, fine part assembly
- Demonstrated aptitude in wide range of technology manufacturing, aerospace preferred
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of manufacturing or assembly work experience
- Experience preferably in the following industries: aviation, aerospace, defense sector

Pay Bands:
Production Technician I: $22-$25
Production Technician II: $24-$28
Production Technician III: $26-$34
