Math Educational Consultant-Per Diem | Part Time

Inspired Instruction is seeking a Part-time Math Educational Consultant (grades K-12) in Central and North New Jersey.

The Part-Time Math Educational Consultant is a per diem position with an expectation to work 4 days per month. This position is paid $650 per diem rate along with mileage and toll reimbursement when applicable. The Math Educational Consultant is responsible for delivering high-quality in-person professional development, coaching and support to teachers and school leaders. Our Educational Consultants are instrumental in creating meaningful relationships to ultimately help students reach their full potential. This position is best suited for professionals who want to stay connected to the education field while maintaining a high impact to students and personal achievement.

• Due to the high-quality delivery of our services, we are unable to consider candidates working a full-time (M-F, 8am-5pm) position.
• Territory target is North and Central New Jersey

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with schools to build teacher and administrative capacity through evidence based coaching, curriculum, and professional development
• Develop positive working relationships with a diverse group of teachers and administrators through large group sessions as well as individualized side-by-side support
• Evaluate data and conduct in-class visits to assess and communicate professional learning plans that strengthen academic performance, school culture and climate
• Support schools in strengthening pedagogy and implementing instructional planning to ensure effective teaching in classrooms
• Lead schools in reviewing, developing, organizing and implementing rigorous standards-aligned curriculum

Basic Requirements:

• 8 years working in K-12 schools within the Tri-State area (New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia)
• Math certification for grades K-8 or grades 6 to 8 or higher
• Available to work 4 days per month
• Strong working knowledge of the State Standards
• High level of competence in facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability using Google Classroom, Zoom, and other education-related technology tools
• Personal technology equipment (laptop computer, mobile device, and working camera) to be used during on-site workshop facilitation at client locations
• Reliable, high-speed internet to participate in ongoing professional growth
• Willingness to travel across metropolitan area with your own reliable transportation
• Not engaged in or pursuing full-time employment (M-F, 8am-5pm)
• Current teaching and/or administration certification copies
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check

Preferred Requirements:

• Masters Degree
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Supervisor or Coach
• Virtual Teaching and Learning experience
• Professional Development experience (design, implementation, facilitation and leading)
