PositionOverview
Under the direction andsupervision of the House Manager (or Residential Program Manager), the positionassists with providing direct care and supports to the participants that agencysupports in our residential group homes in a ratio of 1 : 1 up to 1 : 3 in the home,in the community, and employment environment.
EssentialFunctions
- Work with residents, assisting them with theactivities of daily living : teaching money management, housekeeping, cooking,personal care and hygiene, socialization with roommates and persons in thecommunity, and appropriate use of leisure time.
- Develop and maintain warm, clean, and safe homeenvironment which is conducive to optimal development of the resident.
- Implement the individual activity schedule of theresident. Document all activities on the weekly activity schedule.
- Participate in the development of, and implementationof the participants' Person-Centered Plan (PCP). Document any changes to theresident's program in the approved PCP prior to implementation.
- Work with the Residential House Manager to accountfor the individual funds of the resident. Teach money management techniques toresidents who experience difficulties managing their personal funds.
- Adheres to the mandatory use of CIMS system toaccess, send email and access and report health information, data and incidentsfor individuals supported in Inspired Options Inc. program.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
RequiredEducation / Certifications / Experience
HighSchool Diploma or equivalent. CPR / First Aid, and Driver's license required
AdditionalRequired Skills
MicrosoftExcel and Word skills, excellent communication skills, organizational skillsand ability to multi-task necessary. Must be a self-starter.
