This person will participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to review and to evaluate child and sponsor participation and progress. Inspire Georgia provides temporary shelter care and case management services to unaccompanied children in the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) custody. ORR has a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of sexual abuse and sexual harassment. Position Details : Full Time employee, eligible for benefitsDepartment - Children and Family ServicesMaintain accurate, and current documentation of service provision in each UAC case file, while ensuring compliance with ORR and agency documentation and reporting requirements.Reports to Inspire Georgia Program DirectorLocated in Atlanta, GA (South Fulton)On-site required; on-call as needed; Travel (0 - 25%)Monday through Friday; 1 : 30pm-10pm with weekend coverage rotationAnnual Compensation is $55,000 / annum.Responsibilities : Completes initial intake assessment and ensures child feels safe and well orientated to the facility.Identifies and contacts family members and sponsors immediately upon child's arrival to discuss the feasibility of reunification and to ensure the sponsor obtains all applicable documentation for reunification.Ensures weekly contact with assigned children to assess child safety and well-being and ensure all mandatory services are provided in accordance with the child's Individualized Service Plan.Collaborates with Lead Case Manager to meet agency's Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) / Quality Assurance (QA) requirements.Coordinates and completes child reunification activities upon child's release from the program and complete Safety and Well-Being Follow Up phone call with each child's sponsor 30 days after their release from program.Accompanies / transports UAC to court appearances, as necessary.Ensures all mandatory services are provided in accordance with the child's Individualized Service Plan and completes all annual training as required.QualificationsQualifications : Must have a bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social work fields, plus one year of related experience, two preferred.Bilingual in Spanish and English. (required)Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Extended Reach, electronic databases.Must have the ability to communicate with all persons in a culturally competent manner and sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.Ability to take initiative, work within a team, and work independently.To be considered, applicants must pass a comprehensive background check, including work references, verify educational achievement, have a personal vehicle, a valid Georgia Driver's license, personal auto insurance and a good driving record.This position requires primary residence within the state of Georgia.The Case Manager role detailed in this description is not a comprehensive list of all duties that may be requested for successful completion.
