Program Coordinator (Nashville)
The Program Coordinator will oversee current hunger relief operations, develop new strategies, and assist with implementation of all Empowerment Programs. The program coordinator will successfully engage community members, volunteers and outside organizations to enhance participants’ expanding needs and experience. The program coordinator will empower participants to go from surviving to thriving by providing basic needs, safety and stability, community integration, self-sufficiency and self-determination.

- Weekdays and half day Saturday
- $37,550 - $42,000
Responsibilities:
- Oversees all Inspiritus Food Pantry operations.
- Establishes and implements new and additional food procurement, distribution techniques, hours of operation and processes.
- Integrates and implements all available food resources into the pantry.
- Data collection and tracking for all pantry operations, volunteers, and donations.
- SHFB liaison and point person for all communications with Second Harvest Food Bank. Attend trainings and trains Inspiritus staff and volunteers. Submit weekly pantry orders. Implements and tracks SNAP benefit applications.
- Responsible for all volunteer communication and coordination in the pantry. Implements volunteer appreciation events. Trains and cultivates long-term volunteers to help run Pantry operations. Tracks and reports all volunteer hours monthly.
- Collaborates with Program Manager to oversee distribution, tracking and presentation of Walmart and other donations. Tracks all in kind donations for the organization. Oversees volunteer stocking of front room.
- Refers participants to additional resources.
- Works directly with the Program Manager to distribute non-food donations.
- Attends and assists with Building Healthy Families as needed.
- Coordinates with Program Manager warehouse pick up from SHFB for snacks/ meals for all programs.
- Works directly with the Thrive Studios manager as an assistant in weekly programming for youth and fills in for Thrive Studios manager in case of absence.
- Assist Program Manager with larger Plant Days and additional garden duties as needed and as time allows.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Associates or College Degree
- 2 years of social service experience or program implementation preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Qualified candidate has experience working with diverse populations.
- Ability to lift 40lbs.
- Must have own transportation and driver’s license.
- Qualified candidates must have good people skills and ability to work with the public.
