Job Description:
Responsible for providing technical development and support for in-house developed .Net applications and vendor purchased applications supporting Customer Ops Accounting. The role covers all levels of support including managing tickets and projects and change initiatives for the portfolio, providing backup support for the team, development, test and documentation activities.
Accountabilities:
- Provides proactive and responsive technical support for the Customer Ops Accounting applications for the achievement of SLA targets and making recommendations for improved application availability and performance to drive customer satisfaction
- Providing subject matter expertise for projects and change stakeholders, supporting the management and execution of activities to drive the delivery of the strategic roadmap to meet corporate goals through technology and services
- Delivery of operational support responsibilities including working with other teams and 3rd party vendors, ensuring that systems and applications are implemented and managed based on the application requirements and providing after hours on-call support on a rotational basis.
- Responsible for maintaining and developing all documentation and reporting relating to applications supported
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience on energy/utilities company
- Deep knowledge of .NET framework
- Ability to deploy and aid in the development of client-server applications
- Knowledge GIT or other source code repositories (code versioning, branching, merging, create/review pull requests, etc.)
- Knowledge Azure DevOps
- Working experience of REST, XML, SOAP, JSON, HTML, Azure App services, microservices, Web APIs.
- Knowledge on DevExpress controls
- Experience in ASP.NET, C#, CSS
- Experience in Agular, AngularJS and JavaScript
- Microsoft Visual Studio or VSCode
- SQL Server, database administration (stored procedures, functions, views, normalization).
- IIS 7 and Web Server Administration
- API security framework implementation
- Operating knowledge of ITILv3, Agile, DevOps and SDLC DevOps.
- Experience creating and understanding Object Oriented design and modelling with UML
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, science or a related study, or equivalent experience
Work Experience:
- 7 years exp. development
- 7 years application support, monitoring, and reporting
- 1 years energy/commodities experience
- Accounting experience desirable
Certifications:
- MVP, MCTS, MCD, AZ900, AZ or similar is a plus.
