What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Test Engineer position at INSPYR Solutions?
Location: Remote, East Coast preferred
Duration: Inital 6 month contract with possible extension
Compensation: $60.00 - $70.00/hr
Work Requirements: USC, GC or Authorized to work in US
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Testing Efforts:
Oversee and manage testing activities for the migration project, ensuring the transition from Ionic Angular to React Native is thoroughly tested and meets quality standards.
Develop test strategies, plans, and schedules for the entire upgrade process.
Lead the creation and execution of manual and automated test cases for the React Native application.Test Automation:
Implement and maintain automated test frameworks using tools such as Jest, Appium, Detox, or similar technologies.
Drive best practices in automated testing and ensure test scripts are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the development team to understand requirements, design test cases, and provide feedback during all phases of the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with product managers to ensure that user stories and acceptance criteria are clear and measurable.
Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, providing technical support and enhancing team skills.Bug Tracking & Reporting:
Use Jira or other tracking tools to report, prioritize, and manage bugs, ensuring swift resolution.
Ensure timely and accurate communication of test results to stakeholders.Performance and Usability Testing:
Lead efforts to test app performance, security, and overall usability to ensure the React Native application performs as expected on multiple devices and platforms.
Conduct regression testing to confirm that no functionality is broken during the migration.- Test Environment Management:Set up and maintain test environments that simulate various devices and OS versions for both iOS and Android platforms
Ensure proper emulators and device cloud services are used for testing purposes
3 years of experience using Typescript
3 years of experience building robust unit tests and component tests using tools like Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, or Cypress
