Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of IT Asset Management to lead and enhance our global asset management strategy. This role will focus on both Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM), ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. As we transition from Flexera to ServiceNow SAMPro, this individual will play a pivotal role in executing a seamless transition and building out our software asset management capabilities. The ideal candidate will have global SAM expertise and a deep understanding of licensing servers, vendor management, and asset lifecycle management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT Asset Management (ITAM) strategies across hardware, software, and cloud assets on a global scale.
- Oversee the transition from Flexera to ServiceNow SAMPro for software asset management, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption.
- Ensure that servers are correctly associated with the right applications and that applications are mapped to the correct business units.
- Optimize global software licensing, including Microsoft Volume Licensing, Adobe, Oracle, and Autodesk.
- Manage hardware asset management within ServiceNow, ensuring assets are tracked, optimized, and compliant.
- Develop and maintain audit compliance programs to meet industry regulations and internal policies.
- Establish and enforce contract and vendor management best practices, including renewals, negotiations, and compliance monitoring.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with IT, Finance, Procurement, and Business Units to align IT asset strategies with corporate objectives.
- Analyze IT asset data to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Develop KPIs, reporting mechanisms, and governance structures for effective asset lifecycle management.
Job Qualifications:
- Senior-level expertise in IT Asset Management (ITAM) with a strong background in both Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
- Proven experience with ServiceNow SAMPro and hardware asset management tools.
- Strong knowledge of software licensing models, compliance, and optimization for major vendors like Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, and Autodesk.
- Experience managing large-scale IT asset portfolios in a global enterprise environment.
- Expertise in contract management, procurement, vendor negotiations, and audit compliance.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills to drive asset optimization strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Experience in leading ITAM teams and potential to grow into a Senior Manager or Director role.
- ITIL, IAITAM, or ServiceNow ITAM certifications.
- Experience in cloud asset management.
- Knowledge of financial planning and budgeting related to IT assets.
