High Level Description
We are in search of a Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure our software deliverables meet the highest industry standards. The responsibilities will include creating automated test plans, interpreting and reviewing system requirements, executing regression test cases, and tracking quality assurance metrics. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and have a solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies. This person will collaborate with cross-functional teams within an agile environment to develop strategies for continuous quality improvement.
Minimum Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related fields.
* 5-7 years' experience as a QA automation engineer.
* Experience in UFT and/or one of the following: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, robot framework, JMeter
* Proficiency in VB scripting and/or one of the following scripting/programming languages: JavaScript, Python, Ruby
* Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
* Implement automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.
* Interface with cross functional teams including software developers and end users throughout the software development life cycle to resolve requirements, documentation, design, and functional issues.
* Ability to work independently and part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines.
* Assist in implementing, creating, and working towards improving the overall QA processes.
* Ability to write complex queries using SQL to update and maintain data in test environments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Experience in one or more test management tools Azure DevOps, TestRail, Inflight, Jira, ServiceNow
* Ensures systematic assessment of defined functions on each product build and detect regression defects due to code changes.
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
* Familiar with all testing methodologies including Regression, Unit, Integration, System, and Blackbox testing.
* Excellent analytical skills
* Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, testing protocols.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good project management skills.
* Working knowledge of Commercial Gas Transmission Pipeline Systems.
* Experience in Cloud technologies (preferably Azure)
* Experience in all phases of software and testing lifecycle, inception through deployment.
