This role plays a critical part in driving IT governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management across the enterprise. You'll manage and operationalize key compliance initiatives, assess control framework maturity, and support audits related to standards such as SOC 1 Type 2, MAR, NY DFS 500, HIPAA, and CCPA.

Senior Compliance Analyst
Overview:
We're seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst to join our Information Security team, reporting to the GRC Manager. This role plays a critical part in driving IT governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management across the enterprise. You'll manage and operationalize key compliance initiatives, assess control framework maturity, and support audits related to standards such as SOC 1 Type 2, MAR, NY DFS 500, HIPAA, and CCPA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support enterprise compliance programs, audits, and assessments
- Evaluate IT controls and frameworks (e.g., NIST, COBIT, CIS CSC)
- Maintain GRC tools and ensure continuous improvement of compliance processes
- Perform gap analyses, internal risk assessments, and document remediation plans
- Collaborate with control owners and business units to gather evidence and validate controls
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures
- Support disaster recovery planning and governance activities
- Stay informed on evolving regulatory and security requirements
- Serve as a liaison for third-party risk, contract security terms, and audit engagements
- 5 years in IT compliance, audit, or cybersecurity
- Deep understanding of regulatory mandates (e.g., HIPAA, GLBA, CCPA, MAR)
- Experience working with auditors and leading IT audits
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to translate technical risks for non-technical stakeholders
- Self-starter with a solution-focused mindset
- CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIPP, GIAC
