Title: Sr. Data Governance Analyst
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Hybrid 3/2)
Duration: 6 months
Compensation- $60-$65/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Sr. Data Governance Analyst
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review documented metadata for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Support build out of PowerBI report/dashboard documentation
- Review and maintain Data Governance Program organizational structure, including Business Data Owner and Business Data Steward assignments
- Assist Business Stewards and Subject Matter Experts with documentation of policies, standards and processes
- Support training relating to data governance practices and the data governance tool usage throughout the organization
- Support the development of teams across company to ensure data governance policies and practices are embedded throughout the company
- Participate in design discussions relating to data structures to ensure standards are appropriately adhered to
- Ensure all data assets subject to governance processes within the organization are addressed
- Manage and administer data governance tools
- Ensuring standards are followed as they move through the modernization process.
- Collaborating with teams on both the business and IT sides.
- Making quick decisions and working independently.
- Maintaining close attention to detail and having excellent communication skills to work across various levels.
- Ensuring consistency and updating documentation as the data in the Data Lake changes.
- Reviewing and approving existing data standards, ensuring they're up to date.
- Technical Requirements & Preferences:
- Data governance standards are already in place, but there may be opportunities to update them, and a fresh perspective would be welcomed.
- Analysis experience is essential, including running basic queries (SQL skills required).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview is a plus
- Python scripting is a plus but not a requirement
- Experience with Collibra would be advantageous
