The Sr UX Designer will join the IS&T User Experience group as a key player on their enterprise design system team. They will be part of the creative force behind the design system's website, helping to shape its look and feel, while also contributing to the production of essential design resources for their user community.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
- Lead web design projects in an enterprise environment, owning initiatives from conception to execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership to ensure project vision is intact and executed successfully.
- Support and maintain the design system, ensuring design artifacts are high-quality and properly linked across files.
- Work closely with engineering teams to manage design tokens, accessibility standards, and the development of components within the system.
- Create visual assets and imagery to illustrate design principles and enhance the website experience.
- Conduct QC on Sketch libraries and maintain file relationships.
- 5 years of experience in UX Design within an enterprise environment
- Proven experience in owning projects end-to-end, ensuring continuity from initial design to final implementation
- Strong communication skills to present work to leadership and advocate for design decisions
- Experience in supporting and maintaining Design Systems
- Understanding of design tokens, accessibility best practices, and engineering collaboration
- Proficiency in Sketch for managing libraries, creating artifacts, and maintaining system relationships
- Experience with Drupal
- Familiarity with Agile workflows
- Prototyping skills to quickly test and validate concepts
