About this Featured Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team and support the Conductor platform, a core system that provides a caching layer and abstraction for backend storage. The Conductor platform serves as an in-house object store with an S3 interface, enabling users to access data seamlessly across the company's network. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with object storage systems and the S3 API, along with a strong background in Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and automation. This role requires expertise in automating workflows and maintaining high system reliability.
The Opportunity for You:
As an SRE, you will manage and optimize the Conductor platform, ensuring its high availability, scalability, and performance. You will oversee the platform's S3 API interface, enabling seamless access for clients across the network. Collaborating closely with compute and networking teams, you will ensure effective integration of Conductor with both local and remote systems. Your role will involve working with CI/CD pipelines and release processes, leveraging tools such as Jenkins, Rio, Spinnaker, and Helm charts. Additionally, you will monitor and maintain Kubernetes clusters, particularly on Amazon EKS, to uphold reliability and scalability. You will also address networking challenges across cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud Platform, as well as on-prem infrastructure. Lastly, you will automate operational workflows using Python or Go to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Key Success Factors :
- Object Storage Expertise :
- Hands-on experience with object storage systems
- Must have experience troubleshooting client S3 API issues.
- Client-side troubleshooting experience
- Kubernetes & Cloud Infrastructure
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, particularly EKS.
- Experience with networking on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Solid understanding of cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid on-prem environments.
- Familiarity with scaling and networking limitations of cloud platforms.
- Automation Skills : Proficiency in automating tasks using Python or Go.
- Must be able to do a coding-interview in Python or Go for automation.
