Patient Care Liaison/Phone Nurse

Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments for out patient testing including obtaining Prior Authorizations if needed for two medical practices.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure patient lab, X-Ray and other testing results are called back to patient in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical records system.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments, procedures, and general information
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and timely delivery of services
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency in using medical software systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from different departments
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
