At Install IoT by Sensyrtech, we help companies install, maintain, and support IoT devices across various industries. As we continue expanding, we are looking for a Certified Electrician with additional technical and mechanical skills to join our team as an Independent Contractor. This role offers flexibility, hands-on technical work, and the opportunity to grow in the evolving field of IoT.

Position Summary

We are seeking a certified electrician who also has experience with installations, troubleshooting, and field service work in industrial and commercial environments. While expertise in IoT is a plus, your core electrical knowledge is essential—we provide training on IoT and networking technologies.

This role involves installing and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and IoT-related systems, requiring someone comfortable working independently, troubleshooting, and adapting to different job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for industrial and commercial equipment.
• Install, wire, and configure routers, gateways, and sensors as part of IoT deployments.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints for installation and repair tasks.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting using electrical testing tools such as multimeters.
• Perform construction-related tasks, including drilling, mounting, anchoring, and securing equipment.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery as needed for installations.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Work with low-voltage and high-voltage systems in industrial settings.
• Communicate with clients and team members to provide status updates and technical support.
• Complete detailed service reports documenting work performed and recommendations.
• Travel to client sites to provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Licensed or Certified Electrician (Journeyman or Master Electrician preferred).
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, or automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical and industrial systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with construction-related tasks such as mounting, fastening, and site preparation.
• Knowledge of building materials, safety standards, and PPE requirements.
• Familiarity with IoT hardware, sensors, networking, or industrial automation is a plus.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic instruments, and heavy equipment.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Willingness to travel frequently to different job sites.

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
