As we expand our reach, we're looking for IoT Field Technicians as independent contractors to join our team. This role offers the flexibility to work on a dynamic schedule and the opportunity to grow within the realm of IoT technologies.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a technically skilled and adaptable Field Technician as an independent contractor with a strong foundation in electrical principles to perform installations of routers, gateways, and sensors. While a deep understanding of IoT is beneficial, it's your electrical expertise that's crucial. We provide comprehensive training on IoT specifics, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to broaden their skill set in a cutting-edge field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions using diagnostic tools.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to assist in installations and repairs.
• Perform construction-related tasks such as drilling, mounting, and securing equipment to structures.
• Operate heavy machinery, hand tools, and power tools required for installation and maintenance work.
• Ensure clear and professional communication with clients and team members.
• Complete and submit detailed service reports, including job status updates and repair documentation.
• Manage a flexible work schedule, adapting to varying workloads and responding to emergency service calls as needed.
• Travel to client locations to provide hands-on support and technical services.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or automation systems.
• Experience with construction-related tasks such as mounting hardware, fastening equipment, and structural modifications.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Knowledge of building materials, installation techniques, and site preparation.
• Experience with concrete drilling, anchoring, and working at heights.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic instruments, and heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in various field environments.
• Tool Handling: Knowledge in using basic tools like drills and multimeters.

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
