As we expand our reach, we're looking for IoT Field Technicians as independent contractors to join our team. This role offers the flexibility to work on a dynamic schedule and the opportunity to grow within the realm of IoT technologies.
Position Summary:
We’re hiring one skilled Field Technician who can handle both low and high voltage electrical work, and is also comfortable cleaning and maintaining surveillance cameras using boom lifts or scissor lifts. This is a 1099 contractor role for ongoing fieldwork in the region.
General Role Overview (Independent Contractor - Field Technician):
In addition to this immediate surveillance project, we are also looking for technically skilled and adaptable Field Technicians with a strong foundation in electrical principles to perform installations of routers, gateways, and sensors. While knowledge of IoT is a plus, electrical expertise is critical. We offer full IoT training to help you expand your skills into this growing field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and troubleshoot surveillance camera systems and supporting electrical infrastructure.
- Perform low voltage and high voltage wiring safely and efficiently.
- Clean, inspect, and maintain security cameras using lift equipment.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and site schematics.
- Operate boom lifts or scissor lifts safely and responsibly.
- Submit job reports and communicate clearly with project coordinators.
- Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely.
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members on-site. Submit detailed service reports, job updates, and documentation.
- Adapt to varying workloads and respond to emergency service calls.
- Travel to client locations for on-site support and technical services.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with low and high voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with camera systems, including installation and maintenance.
- Experience operating aerial lifts (boom or scissor) – certification preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Must have your own tools and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and travel locally as needed.
- Must be eligible to work as a 1099 contractor.
