Position Summary : The purpose of this job is to perform a very wide variety of electrical maintenance tasks
including but not limited to maintenance work such as : installation, fabrication, assembly, set-up, diagnosis,
troubleshooting maintenance work on plant equipment, services and facilities requiring the use of hand and
maintenance tools and skills. Work from blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Uses programming software to troubleshoot issues on PLCs, Robots, HMIs, using RSLogix
500 / 5000, Fanuc Robotics teach pendant, etc.
Makes updates and changes to plant documentation using AutoCAD Mechanical / ElectricalPerforms troubleshooting work on energized lines, circuits and connections with a wide range of voltagesincluding 110V, 220V and 440V. May work with voltages up to 12,500V at distribution transformers.
Operates a wide variety of equipment such as, multi-meters, voltmeters, o-scopes, other electricaldiagnostic equipment, carts, ladders, lifts, etc.
Calibrate sensors, SCRs, and other equipmentDesign, build and implement test equipment to support production and engineering operationsProvides cross-training for other skillsWill be a member of a work team that utilizes some business skills such as, writing and entering workorders, interfacing with plant engineering team, time distribution, quotes and estimates, use of computers
in performance of duties, etc.
Works independently, coordinates PMs, rebuilds, shutdowns, tasks and other employees as requiredDisplays innovativeness when dealing with complex problems, trains others in maintenance techniquesdesigned for sensitive processes
Work as a member of a team; writes process documentation; prepares maintenance projects and layouts,interfaces with customers, vendors and suppliers, responsible for the quality of work, timeliness, work
methods, practices, etc.
Required Qualifications :
GED or High School Diploma2 year Electrical Technician / Electrician degree preferredGeneral understanding of electrical theory and best practicesEffort equivalent to handling 16-50 lbs., works overhead in tiring awkward positions, performs bench workrepairing instruments and motors, etc.
