Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor Degree; Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, including 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of biological science (with one semester in microbiology), 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of chemistry (with one semester in organic or biochemistry), one semester (one quarter) of mathematics.(OR Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology for Incumbents in position prior to 2005).
- Credential(s): Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist
- Experience: Required: Three years of relevant experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent position in a high-complexity laboratory
Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
- Credential(s): Certification related to the position, if applicable.
- Experience: Preferred: Five years of relevant experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent position in a high-complexity laboratory
