Job Description
We are seeking Litigation Legal Assistants to join the Civil Litigation and Criminal Litigation practice groups in our Harrisburg office. The Legal Assistants will collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals across Family Law, General Law, and Criminal Law practice areas to support a wide range of clients.
Key anticipated responsibilities include:
- Supporting attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks, such as receiving and distributing mail.
- Transcribing dictation for correspondence, including client letters and engagement letters.
- Completing monthly expense reports and credit card statements, as well as scanning and printing documents.
- Maintaining electronic and physical client files.
- Managing attorneys' calendars by scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and handling pleadings and electronic filings.
- Answering phones and communicating with courts and prothonotaries.
- Entering attorneys' billable time.
- Assisting the support team with receptionist or administrative coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) or more years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a related role.
- Proficiency in using PACER for docket searches, party information, and downloading pleadings.
- Familiarity with state filings and county and prothonotary websites.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on clear and persuasive communication.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to supporting attorneys.
- Commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and teamwork.
Beneficial Qualifications
- Experience with iManage document management systems.
- Experience with filing court documents, particularly electronic filings.
- Familiarity with ECF for federal court filings.
- Paralegal certification.
- Active Notary license.
