What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at Institute for Brain Potential?
Institute for Brain Potential (IBP), www.ibpceu.com, is the leading provider of accredited programs on the brain and behavioral sciences for health professionals. Our non-profit organization has presented seminars since 1984.
We are looking to expand our database of Onsite Coordinators for our one day seminars presented across the country. This is an independent contractor position.
For this position, the coordinator could do all 3 seminars if interested and available. The first one is on Wednesday, March 5th in Kearney, NE, the second one is on Thursday, March 6th in Lincoln, NE, and the third on Friday, March 7th in Omaha, NE.

Daily responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Verify proper venue set up.
- Account for all materials shipped onsite.
- Check in attendees and distribute materials.
- Process sales of educational materials.
- Distribute evaluations and certificates at adjournment.
- Return materials via FedEx upon conclusion of seminar.
Qualifications:
- Previous event coordination experience with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- A positive, professional, self-motivated attitude is essential.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Daily Rate: $300, in addition to approved expenses, including lodging and gas.
