So, it is our pleasure to announce that we are currently seeking a part-time (18 hours) candidate for the role of Foot Messenger to join our team!

By ICL definition, a Foot Messenger is a post-person-like individual who is solely responsible for the delivery of private company messages and packages from one assigned facility to another.

To be considered for this role, you MUST first adhere to and understand the requirements and tasks listed below…

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• EDU: None required – company assessment test provided as a substitute
• EXP: 2 years of courier, messenger, and travel exp. – a sense of direction and road knowledge is mandatory
• Shift & Location: Days & Hours TBD Various Sites – state driver’s license not mandatory but preferred
• Basic communication, listening, interpersonal, writing, and conveying skills – bi-lingual is a plus but not mandatory
• Proper attire always – this includes business and/or professional
• Following all safety guidelines in accordance with the performance of tasks mentioned below…

MESSENGER TASKS:

• Report to the Facilities Dept. for routine and mandatory morning meetings
• Submit Messenger Route sheets and/or issues to your supervisor for review
• Knowledge of local roads and/or a sense of direction and traffic to various sites throughout the boroughs
• Follow ICL's policies and procedures including, but not limited to, contacting the supervisor about submitting a request for Messenger supplies
• Understand and follow the company protocol and guidelines for performing messenger tasks from the dept. Director, Supervisor, and other upper management
• Routinely making sure all mail is picked up from and/or delivered to our clients daily – all undelivered mail must be returned to the Facilities Dept. at the end of each workday
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned in an organized and detail-oriented manner…
