FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Position Description

The grant and budget analyst assists with the development, monitoring, and analysis of the organization's program and initiative budgets. This position also assists with forecasting, reporting, application submittals, and other administrative and fiscal grant support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support budget development and forecasting processes
  • Conduct basic analysis and reporting
  • Assist with the development of spend-down and closure plans
  • Assist with the development and submittal of award applications and adjustments
  • Assist with the development of budget modifications
  • Generate standard financial reports

Knowledge And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required
  • Two years of experience in budget analysis, management, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and private funding regulations preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional time management skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Most work is performed in a highly productive and fast-paced hybrid office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. While working remotely, employees must be able to maintain a quiet, noise-free office space that is free of distractions.
