As an Instructional Designer with the Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR), a non-profit, grant-funded organization, you can make a difference in others' lives by being involved in improving the safety and wellness of law enforcement officers and communities, helping victims of domestic violence, nurturing the growth and development of children, tackling the damaging effects of opioid abuse, and more.
In addition to possessing an instructional systems design (ID) or related degree, IIR is seeking someone who has at least two years of direct ID experience using the ADDIE model; has designed and built three or more in-person, eLearning, and / or hybrid courses for adults using appropriate learning theories; and has organized and facilitated curriculum development meetings. Position Description
The instructional designer will design and develop instructional materials for criminal justice programs, using hybrid, in-person, virtual, and eLearning modalities, to help learners acquire knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. This position will also assist with the planning, coordination, facilitation, and implementation of curriculum committee meetings.

Most work is performed in a highly productive and fast-paced work environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Employees must be able to maintain a quiet remote office space that is free of distractions. Some assignments may require travel, which may include trips to other countries requiring a passport.
