Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our surgeon and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures. Your role will involve providing assistance during surgeries, preparing operating rooms, and maintaining a sterile environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and surgical procedures.
Duties:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Set up and maintain sterile fields during surgeries
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient assessment before, during, and after surgery
- Document patient information accurately in medical records system
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
