International College of Health Sciences seeks an innovative student-centered nurse educator for a full-time position as the Nursing Simulation and Skills Lab Coordinator. This individual is responsible for providing direction and support to the simulation and skills labs and oversees the simulation faculty schedule, collaborate with faculty to design, implement, and schedule simulation activities.
The Simulation and Lab Coordinator will:
- Create and implement a simulation program with nursing faculty to develop best practices in the simulated learning lab using a range of patient technologies and situations including mass casualty, standardized patients, OSCE, practice stations, case studies, and high-fidelity patients.
- Provide training and serve as a resource for staff using simulation and lab equipment.
- Manage and maintain simulation and lab facilities.
- Serve as an instructor with assigned teaching duties
Essential Qualifications:
- BSN degree from accredited institution
- Unencumbered FL Nursing License or compact state
- 4 years of clinical nursing experience
- proficiency with nursing simulation technologies
- Experience with nursing education practice standards, outcomes, and assessment
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- MS, PhD, or DNP in Nursing
- Certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)
- Clinical experience across more than one specialty area
This is a campus-based position in the Boynton Beach, Florida area and candidate must be within commuting distance to the campus location.
