We are InstroTek Inc, a privately owned materials testing equipment company, based in Research Triangle Park, NC. With six strategic offices throughout the US and numerous international distributors, our customers are never far from our experienced and knowledgeable representatives.
- Manage sales territory and help grow current customer base.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, lead generation, attending industry events, and other methods.
- Travel to meet with customers, attend conferences, trade shows, and other events as necessaryto support sales efforts and build relationships.
- Primary contact for customers throughout the sales cycle of their purchase.
- Work cross functionally with other departments to address customer needs and requests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers to understand their needs and preferences
- Develop a deep understanding of the products and services being sold to effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value propositions to customers.
- Ability to deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to large and small audiences to showcase products or services
- Create quotes and process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring smooth transactions and timely delivery of products or services.
- Provide ongoing customer support including after-sales follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction, order delivery information and resolve any after sales issues.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and develop effective sales strategies.
- Set and strive to meet sales targets and objectives established by management.
- Maintain open and effective communication with internal teams to help improve processes, products, customer service and marketing.
Requirements
- Asphalt Materials and Testing Equipment Knowledge is a Plus: Understanding of asphalt testing processes, equipment (such as density/moisture gauges), and quality standards used in the asphalt industry.
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, or other relevant industry standards for asphalt and materials testing.
- Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to prospect, develop relationships, and close sales in a highly competitive industry.
- Technical Sales: Ability to explain and demonstrate complex technical products to non-technical customers, translating technical features into customer benefits.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for presenting technical information in a clear, concise manner.
- Customer-Centric Focus: Ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and offer solutions that add value, improving customer satisfaction and retention.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage a full sales pipeline, and efficiently organize travel and meetings.
- Education: High school diploma / BA degree
