What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator position at Insulation Northwest?
We are looking for an effective Warehouse Associate to assist in direct receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures
- Daily loading and unloading of materials to truck for delivery to customers and/or jobsites
- Managing all material with appropriate care.
- Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise
- Verify all items received to items ordered for accuracy
- Keeping an inventory of all material entering or exiting the warehouse.
- Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
- Assist management with inventory counts and provide daily upkeep of the Warehouse
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Operate a sit-down Forklift
Skills
- Prior experience working in a warehouse
- Knowledge of operating a forklift
- Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 80 pounds
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be self-motivated and punctual.
- Keen attention to detail
