Supplier Engineer
The Supplier Engineer is a key member of the supplier engineering group, which is part of Insulet's Procurement organization. This team manages a global supply chain and sources precision custom components and commodities from around the world for use in its devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead systematic root cause investigation efforts on the manufacturing floor.
- Execute site-specific assembly validations of new supplier tooling.
- Identify, justify, and implement continuous improvement projects related to component assembly.
- Maintain within-hours response time to Operations team component escalations.
- Assist in the containment, investigation, corrective and preventive action of quality issues relating to supplier parts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing/Industrial, BioMedical, Chemical, or Plastics Engineering.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience required.
In this role, you will work closely with peers and leaders in internal Quality, Sourcing, and Manufacturing Engineering to implement new capital tooling and equipment at suppliers, execute improvement projects, resolve business-critical technical issues, troubleshoot assembly issues on the manufacturing floor, and investigate and lead corrective actions in response to quality issues across the supply base.
