As a Senior Controls Engineer, you'll be a key member of our Global Manufacturing Engineering Group, driving the development of cutting-edge manufacturing equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices, creating automated systems and software to control them.
- Develop, install, and improve control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs, and PLCs programs on high-speed assembly, packaging, and process equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop wiring diagrams and logic for new equipment, field retrofits, and upgrades.
- Participate in algorithmic, control, mechanical design discussions and code reviews.
- Design and develop tools to assist with algorithm development, testing, and image quality evaluation and validation.
- Develop novel computer vision algorithms and systems, focusing on real-time object recognition, object tracking, camera calibration, and 3D reconstruction.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in complex assembly and manufacturing equipment, including design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation, Keyence, or Cognex vision software, and ABB Robotics.
