Personal Lines Account Manager
Job Summary:
The Personal Lines Account Manager will meet the overall service needs of our personal lines clients by providing prompt, accurate, and empathetic service. This includes processing applications for, changes to, reinstatement of, and cancellation of insurance policies, reviewing insurance applications to ensure that all questions have been answered; compiling data on insurance policy coverage changes; changing policy records per insureds’ request, processing and following up on claims; and verifying the accuracy of insurance company records.
Essential Job Functions:
- Meet daily servicing needs of our clients including but not limited to account administration, billing, claims, and problem solving.
- Educate and advise on personal lines matters for an assigned book of business.
- Remain current on coverage, forms, and rates of carriers we represent to effectively address client’s insurance needs.
- Ensure maximum retention of assigned personal lines book of business. Work proactively to re-market policies when appropriate or requested by the insured.
- Maintain high proficiency with carrier website rating systems.
- Become proficient in the Agency Management System, specifically to update policies that are written or renewed, log activities, invoicing, carrier follow-up, service issues, establish follow-up date and daily manage follow-up in Agency Management System.
- Monitor electronic activities for assigned book of business.
- Round accounts by offering quotes for additional lines of business.
- Provide administrative support on other tasks, such as assigned special projects and development of new ideas, procedures, and services, as requested.
- Assume other job responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1 year of personal lines insurance experience
- Must have an active Kentucky Property & Casualty License
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Applied Epic or EZLynx preferred; will consider experience with other agency management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent people skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to participate in self-development or technical classes
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm and Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm (Hybrid Work Schedule)
