Job Summary:
An Account Manager is a key part of the Retail Team, ensuring exceptional service for our valued customers. An Account Manager will manage customer relationships, provide comprehensive support, and foster long-term partnerships. This role requires effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to manage client inquiries, data, and contribute to team success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communication:
- Process customer requests efficiently, answer inquiries promptly (same day or next day by phone/email), and maintain open communication to build strong relationships.
Account Management:
- Managing customer accounts and quoting needs, review existing policies, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional lines of coverage. Assist Producers with quoting when necessary.
New Business:
- Responsible for writing new business and contributing to the growth of the company’s client base.
Data Accuracy:
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry in our CRM, monitor assigned tasks, and provide complete information to internal teams (e.g., underwriting) as needed.
Problem-Solving:
- Proactively identify and resolve customer concerns, collaborating with colleagues to find solutions that meet customer needs.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports as required, assisting with data analysis to identify trends and support strategic decision-making.
Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to achieve shared objectives and foster a professional and respectful work environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Expectations:
Customer Service:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by processing customer inquiries efficiently and accurately. This includes reviewing policies, proactively contacting customers at least 30 days prior to the expiration date of the policy(s), and identifying opportunities to expand coverage through upselling and cross-selling additional lines of coverage.
Maintain Data Integrity:
- Demonstrate a high level of organization and attention to detail. This ensures accurate data entry in the management system by keeping client information, policy details, and claims activity up to date.
Foster a Collaborative Environment:
- Work effectively with colleagues, including fellow Account Managers and Producers. This includes collaborating to achieve team goals and contributing to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Embrace Accountability:
- Take ownership of work, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in completing assigned tasks and meeting deadlines.
Proactive Task Management & Problem Solving:
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills by independently managing workload and proactively identifying and resolving customer concerns. Seek support and collaborate with colleagues when facing complex issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Colorado P&C License.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an account manager/agent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with management systems such as Epic or similar software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
