We are seeking a Data Scientist who will be building and enhancing predictive modelling tools to amplify the effectiveness and productivity of Underwriting, Claims and other areas within the organization. This person will incorporate artificial intelligence and machine learning into models that will provide meaningful insights from unstructured data.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Building predictive models to manipulate large structured and unstructured data sets.
Researching new statistical and data science techniques.
Creating model-ready datasets through data validation and data cleaning.
Effectively communicating results in written, oral and presentation formats.
Documenting a model's objectives, data sources/inputs, algorithmic logic, assumptions, findings.
Continuously monitor predictive models & algorithms confirm when modeled trends may require recalibration.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science.
Minimum of three years of data science or similar experience.
Experience with predictive modeling (classification, regression, parameter tuning, optimization criteria, feature selection), preferably with multiple techniques.
Experience using unstructured data.
Expertise in Python to develop and implement predictive models.
Demonstrated experience working with large relational data sets.
Ability to write queries in SQL.
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
